LAUNCHING NEW WEBSITE

Welcome to the launch of our brand new website. We have been in the very exciting process of developing our new website for over a year now. As you will see, it is a complete redesign. We loved the old website but we realised it was needing a bit of an update with all the changes over the years. With all the new technology available, we decided to go the whole way and build a complete new site, and at the same time design a fresh new logo. The functionality and design of the new website gives an up-to-date new look for Afruka Eco Tours. We hope you agree with us and enjoy exploring it.

ACCOMMODATION RECOMMENDED BY AFRUKA

Quite often our guests ask us to organise or recommend accommodation for them. We have no problem providing this service, which we do for free. Below is a list of establishments that we have found always exceed our guests expectations. Please contact us if you require more information.

An African Villa: www.capetowncity.co.za - Three historic terrace houses linked together creating an impressive twelve bedroom boutique hotel with exceptionally generous proportions, ideal for visitors who want a gently pampered environment near to the main attractions of the 'Mother City'. The Villa is situated half way between the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and Table Mountain Cableway in a quiet residential quarter with a lovely 'village' feel within a short stroll of the centre of Cape Town and a large number of its best restaurants. These elegant double-story Victorian terraced houses have the hallmark architectural characteristics of an era when space was no obstacle. The rooms are spacious, the ceilings high and the original walls reassuringly thick and solid. Dating back to the late 1800's the new building has been refurbished and decorated in a sophisticated contemporary African style. The air of calmness which is immediately noticeable in the house is achieved by skilful use of play of light, sensitive use of colour, subtle texture and pattern play which is uniformly applied throughout the house.

Derwent House Hotel: www.derwenthouse.co.za - This highly recommended guest house is located in the heart of Cape Town and is one of the cities jewels. It combines chic contemporary elegance with a fun and relaxing atmosphere. It is also incredibly well located just off the trendiest street in the City in between the City Centre and Table Mountain. With a total of 10 rooms and one apartment the atmosphere is friendly without being intrusive, and the staff team are dedicated to making your stay with us a success.Derwent House boutique hotel is the perfect base from which to explore all that Cape Town has to offer. Derwent House is committed to the highest standards of service delivery. Your comfort is their priority, and their dedicated team will do its utmost to ensure you have a wonderful stay.

The Clarendon: www.clarendon.co.za - Luxury 5 star guesthouses on Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard, offers the discerning traveller two unique choices for their stay. Nestled between the slopes of Lions Head and the spectacular blue waters below, each pleasantly appointed property offers a unique glimpse into Cape Town life. The city’s buzzing restaurant and café culture, world-famous beaches and vibrant Waterfront are just five minutes away.

Daddy Long Legs: www.daddylonglegs.co.za - Located in the city centre the Daddy Long Legs Independent Travellers Hotel is like being part of an interactive art exhibition. The thirteen-room boutique backpacker is quite unlike anything else in South Africa. Not only is each room uniquely decorated by an artist, poet, photographer, designer or musician, but, they were afforded complete freedom to interpret the space as they pleased, resulting in a collection of hotel rooms that are an adventurous, humorous and representation of Cape Towns contemparary cultural landscape.
