What to bring ?

On all our days tours please bring the following items with you : comfortable walking or hiking boots/shoes, comfortable walking clothes, hat , sunglasses, sunscreen, wind or rain jacket. We will provide water bottles and daypacks if you do not have these with you on holiday. On overnight trips we will advise you before departure on a list of items that you should consider bringing along. As we provide all camping, cooking and sleeping equipment your list should only have to include personal items.

Payments

Full payment due before departure. Payments can be either by credit card or cash. Sorry no cheques accepted.

Please note

All walks and hikes are weather dependant. In the case of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances we can normally offer a revised itinerary.

Final note

All our guides will accommodate your requests as much as possible to ensure that you get the most enjoyment out of your tour, however it is important to understand that on hikes, walks and trails they are responsible not only for your enjoyment but also for your safety and well-being. Before all tours they will brief you on the trail, walking etiquette and on any dangers that may be faced. Any instruction they give whilst facing any type of danger must be adhered to immediately.

South Africa is the 9th largest wine exporter in the world, with a total of 576 wines estates. Most of the wine regions are located close to Cape Town. The oldest wine estate in South Africa is Groot Constantia which first bottled wine in 1688. This historic estate lies within the Greater Cape Town border at the S/E foot of Table Mountain. The wines estates in the region are famous for their magnificent natural settings and their Cape Dutch architecture.
Our Cape Wine Routes tours are popular throughout the year and provide both wine novices and connoisseurs a wonderful day out and an opportunity to taste some great vintages. There are many varieties of both red and white produced in the Cape. The reds include Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and SA’s own variety, Pinotage. There you board their shark-chaser - Apex Predator. The trip normally starts at about 10am, taking about 4 to 5 hours. Once onboard, it is a 5 mile (8 km) voyage to the diving site off Dyer Island.

The whales come here for mating and calving before heading back to the Antarctic at the end of the year. The cliffs at the edge of the sea shore provide an unmatched viewing position to watch the whales display their numerous behavioral patterns. This includes breaching, spy hopping and tail sailing. At times they come us close as 10 meters from the shore.
